Jkt, ID – Indonesia Fashion Week 2014 was the biggest fashion event exhibition for every year been held. IFW 2014 has been held in Jakarta last month, from 20th – 23rd February 2014 at Jakarta Convention Centre, Plenary Hall. This time, fashion event parade with the theme of Green Movement, Local Movement involving more than 200 local & international designers and 500 fashion brands.
I was attending the exhibition and the Fashion Show on Day 2, and there was a fashion parade with a lots of Muslim style. Among the fashion parade on the 2nd day is Dian Pelangi (Royal Kingdom of Indonesia), Itang Yunasz (Luxurious Ornamental Mosaichic), Iva Latifah (Kulturasi) & Monica Jufry (Graceful Elegance).
Meanwhile waiting for the Fashion Show parade, am looking around the exhibition which is full of Art Fashion display and also very eye-catchy.
IVA LATIFAH – ‘KULTURASI’
The combination of two Asian Indonesian & Korean culture silhouette handbok & Indonesian traditional fabrics – Batik. It is look very beautiful, eye-catchy color, graceful & dazzle.
ITANG YUNASZ – ‘LUXURIOUS ORNAMENTAL MOSAICHIC’
Itang Yunasz, taking the inspiration from the luxury style colored Mosaic Ornaments colored in a strong yellow, teracota & hot pink. Digital motifs described the luxury of appearing in a collection of ready-to-ware consisting of Contemporer Supsbusticoded, Masculin Feminine, Long Tunic Jacket, Long clock Scarf, Long Kaftan & Masculin 3/4 Pants. Overall the collection uses satin, silk chiffon, cotton voile and jersey knit. To support the beauty of his work, Itang Yunasz makes-up the models with Soft Natural makeup shades.
MONICA JUFRY – ‘GRACEFUL ELEGANCE’
Muslim fashion collection featuring romantic feminine silhouette. Inspired by retro ’50s style adapted to the Muslim fashion, it can be seen from fullskirt cutting, cape and polka-dot motif that inspired batik ornament detail on this collection.
This collection is a blend of traditional and modern elements with the use of batik cloth, lace, crepe chiffon, tulle with a touch of embroidery and handmade ornaments.
The colors shown are common colors applied to the batik cloth.
DIAN PELANGI – ‘ROYAL KINGDOM OF INDONESIA’
Love and loyalty of Dian Pelangi with traditional fabrics like jumputan, batik and weaving, in her clothing-line in any design known in the international fashion world. Through her work, known by the Indonesian fashion world because of her Muslim attractive and distinctive.
On the occasion of Indonesia Fashion Week 2014, featuring a collection of Dian Moslem women and men with the theme “Royal Kingdom of Indonesia”. Dian presents fashion adapted from the kingdoms in Indonesia such as Palembang, Java and Bali are modified into a modern Muslim fashion.
Dian always hope to be inspiration for the name of the Indonesian people and the nation that can help realize the dream of Indonesian designers to make Indonesia a Muslim fashion center of the world.
